Job Role: IP Strategy & Patent Lawyer

A brief on the role:

Part of the Global Legal team comprising of Patent Attorneys in the company’s world wide operations.
Extensive experience in Patent application Database search which includes Web domains
Interview inventors to document and determine the scope of the invention, interface between inventors and outside patent counsel for patent prosecution, review patent applications prepared by outside counsel.
Patent portfolio management which includes mapping of IP technology specific to new and emerging markets sectors
Experience in Patent prosecutions viz., Claim and specification drafting, Filing applications (US and PCT), response to US/EP office actions/amendments, third party oppositions / Invalidation, etc.
Involved in product designs and development both at conceptual and production stages.
Liaise with the USPTO and the Indian Patent office on a regular basis as part of the responsibility.
Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the US/ Indian Patent Office, conduct patent and technical-literature searches/analyses (e.g., patentability; landscaping; freedom-to-operate; validity); prepare related communications/reports; and prepare information disclosure statements

Profile of the candidate: Qualified Law graduates with at least 8 years of experience.

Location: Bangalore.

Compensation: Upwards of 18 lacs per annum.
